Beef A Cavalo
Junior Acai Bowl
I attended UCSC for four years and went to the beach only a handful of times. I didn't have a car and relied on public transportation, which would take me almost 45 min- 1 hour to reach the waters. So inevitably, as a lazy college student, lounged around in the dorm rooms with my buddies.
I didn't have any solid plans this 4th of July. Wanted to keep it low key since I'll be traveling to Denver, Colorado with my boyfriend this week. Boyfriend? Haha yes, my boyfriend P. I'll keep his anonymity and refer to him as P. P stands for so many names, you wouldn't even know. Most of the photos on my blog are taken by yours truly, but of course due to the challenge of taking full body shots of my outfits, I designated P as my blog-tographer.
Ok, I went a little off topic. My brother invited me and P to go to Santa Cruz with him, so we gladly accepted. Surprisingly, the traffic was very light. I was most excited for Cafe Brasil. We had to wait 45 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait. We waited on the front porch taking photos and checking out the menu to determine what we all wanted to eat for brunch. As soon as we were seated, we ordered our food. I highly recommend the Beef A Cavalo. Just meat, potato, and eggs. I wanted to save some room for all the food we would be eating that day and decided to order the Junior Acai Bowl. Cafe Brasil is known for their Acai Bowls. If you're ever in Santa Cruz, you should really stop by Cafe Brasil, even if you have to wait a few hours. Trust me. It's that good.
The rest of the day was filled with exploring the Boardwalk and downtown. The Boardwalk was packed with little ones and families. I found an amazing book store downtown, which had a huge assortment of maps, yes MAPS! I can't find those things anywhere. I bought a map of the Bay Area and hope to frame it on my wall. Trying my best to collect enough photos and posters to create a gallery wall in my bedroom.
I probably gained 5 pounds from all the food and desserts I ate. I had a fun and spontaneous day. I will be back, Santa Cruz.
Cafe Brasil is the best! Such colorful pictures pretty
