Went on a mini getaway this past weekend to Big Sur. We cruised down Highway 1 while listening to Chill wave music and the music definitely fit the serene atmosphere. The fluorescent blue waters and dusky trees made me reminisce about the days I would walk through the forest to get to class in Santa Cruz. 

Wearing all black was a horrible idea! (Being punished for trying to look super cool)The sun was beyond warm and trekking through the trails was a challenge. Good thing we packed some juicy tangerines :). I'll be sure to keep a pair of shorts in my car in case I decide to go hiking on a scorching hot day again.

I miss my bun; my hair bun that is. Since I cut my hair short, I haven't been able to put my hair up into a full bun. So instead, I made a mini bun. Success! Put my hair in a mini bun while on a hike at Alum Rock and also wore my all-time favorite sunglasses from Illesteva. I'm sure you know by now that I have a fascination for tortoise ANYTHING. Tortoise glasses, tortoise sunglasses, and even tortoise phone cases. 

I say this every year, but my new years resolution has always been to exercise more. I mean, I'm sure that's everyone's resolution. Do I actually go through with it? Not really. I figure I might be slightly more motivated to go outdoors, if I had cuter workout outfits. This hiking course was nowhere near strenuous. Rather, it enabled me to appreciate the clean air and also explore hidden stairways.
